The Power of History
It is no coincidence the ancient people of Egypt chose to build their massive skyscrapers in the shape of what we today call a pyramid. They understood that the connection between the unseen and visible was through geometry. Researchers have created a scaled model of a correctly oriented pyramid, to find that when highly perishable materials were placed within them, they were preserved. Somehow the physical, chemical and biological processes that might have occurred were altered. This phenomenon is commonly known as “Pyramid Power”*.
This is a resurrection of an ancestral past; the resurrection of an ancestral knowledge; a knowledge that belongs to you. What happens when our consciousness meets that of our ancestors’? This unity is the hidden power of history that must be welcomed in our lives. As the proverb goes, the more one is grounded the further one can reach upward. The ground we stand upon is the shoulders of our ancestors and the works of the Divine through them. These works are your rightful inheritance, but you must choose to accept them.
Without them, there can be no real vision or forward thinking. For far too long you have overlooked the significance of the past and its effects on your soul. Welcome lessons from the past as you would welcome future success.
“Historical consciousness is where change begins. Consciousness is the beginning of a new man. That is why we go back in history; its resurrection, its reconstruction…produces different qualities in the human.” – Ivan Van Sertima

I love this. Totally the backbone of Postmodernism. Consciousness is certainly a choice, but I think it produces a truth that you can only get from looking at the past.
